I lost my mom to this disease 3 years ago last month. My favorite memories of my mom all involve the kitchen, and cooking and eating food. Alzheimer’s changed everything. It took away her ability and desire to love and care for the rest of us. And to feed us. There was not much that a good meal couldn’t fix. My advice would be research as much as you can. Be prepared as much as possible for all you are about to go through. And ALWAYS forgive yourself for mistakes. Because you will make mistakes in caregiving. My heart is filled with love for you all!
