CareCon 2022

HFC celebrated National Caregivers Day, February 18, with our 2nd annual CareCon!

CareCon is a free, virtual event designed to educate, inspire, and empower Alzheimer's and dementia family caregivers with support, knowledge, and community.

Hosted by HFC Co-Founder Lauren Miller Rogen, this year's CareCon was all about celebrating caregivers and bolstering their caregiving journey.

“Alzheimer’s has had a huge impact on my life as both of my grandparents and mom were diagnosed with the disease. My mom was an amazing teacher for 35 years who was always present and taking care of our family. As she got older, she started to need our care for every aspect of her life. The emotional toll of caregiving often goes unmentioned, so we created CareCon as a safe space to celebrate and support caregivers.” - Lauren Miller Rogen

“Alzheimer’s has a huge stigma and is not talked about enough - especially the emotional toll of caregivers. We created this expert-led event and invited some of our celebrity friends to inspire, empower and educate families and caregivers everywhere with the necessary tools and knowledge to help with their journey ahead.” - Seth Rogen

"Free, public events like HFC's CareCon are critical to educating communities about neurological health, informing and activating people against disparities in the healthcare system, and empowering them to center their personal health. As a neurologist, neuroscientist, and health advocate, I hope events like CareCon will also inspire under-represented students to pursue the fields of neurology and neuroscience." - Dr. Eseosa Ighodaro, M.D., Ph.D.

“Joining CareCon was so fun and informative. It's amazing how Seth and Lauren have centered humor and celebrity to educate and inspire young people to prioritize their brain health. I'm honored to support them and HFC." - Amy Poehler

“I so admire the dedication Seth and Lauren have to supporting and educating people about Alzheimer's and brain health. It was my pleasure to moderate such an important and fascinating conversation about research and prevention with some incredible panelists. I learned a lot! And I'm happy to call myself an ally to HFC and to caregivers everywhere who could benefit from its work." - Adam Shapiro
